Cookie Policy

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies activo.group uses, why we use them and how you can control them.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site remember things such as whether you are logged in, and help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies) and some by other services we use (third-party cookies).

2. How we use cookies

  • Strictly necessary: needed for the website to work securely, for example for site administrators who log in. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Functional: remember choices you make, such as your details when you leave a comment.
  • Analytics: tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us, using Google Analytics. The information is aggregated and helps us improve the website.
  • Third-party content: set by services whose content appears on our pages, such as embedded maps or videos.

We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.

4. Third-party content

Some pages include content from other services, which may set their own cookies when the content loads or when you interact with it:

  • Google Maps on our Get in Touch page, which may set cookies such as NID to remember your preferences.
  • YouTube videos embedded in some articles, which may set cookies such as YSC and VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE.
  • WhatsApp, X, Instagram and YouTube links take you to those services, which apply their own cookie policies once you are on their sites.

We do not control these cookies. Please check the providers’ own policies, such as Google’s cookie policy, for details.

5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working, but the public pages will still work without analytics or third-party cookies. Your browser’s help pages explain how:

You can also stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Information Commissioner’s Office has more guidance on cookies and how to control them.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated. For more about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, email contact@activo.group.
